The 2026 Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève awarded 20 prizes across 14 categories, recognizing a broad range of contemporary watchmaking. Rexhep Rexhepi won the “Aiguille d’Or” Grand Prix for his Chronograph Flyback, while other winners included Ferdinand Berthoud, Dominique Renaud, Konstantin Chaykin, Audemars Piguet, Blancpain, Parmigiani Fleurier, Grand Seiko, Chopard, Piaget, and independent makers such as Cleguer and Otsuka Lotec. The awards also honored a mechanical clock, a jewellery watch, and Patek Philippe’s “Watch Art” Grand Exhibitions. The 2026 edition introduced Essential, Complication, and Gemset categories in place of gender-based divisions, reflecting a stronger focus on each watch’s design and function. The jury, led for the first time by Revolution founder Wei Koh, evaluated 84 nominated watches, with the GPHG Academy contributing one-third of the final result. The ceremony also recognized young students Matt Jorgensen and Yuma Miyai, highlighting the next generation of watchmaking talent.
