Atelier Wen has introduced its Inflection series, a groundbreaking line of watches crafted entirely from tantalum, a challenging material in the watchmaking industry. This series features a full tantalum case and bracelet, grand feu enamel dials, and a customized Girard-Perregaux movement. The design of the Inflection watch is a departure from previous models, presenting a smooth and rounded shape that enhances comfort, especially given the metal's high density. The watch measures 40mm in diameter and offers 100 meters of water resistance, making it both stylish and practical for daily wear. The Inflection series offers three dial colors—green, blue, and black—crafted from grand feu enamel, with the green variant being a limited edition of only 30 pieces. The watch showcases a unique H-link integrated bracelet with a patent-pending micro-adjustment system, enhancing its comfort. Priced at $19,800 for the fabric strap and $29,800 for the bracelet, these watches are available through an application process directly with the brand. As Atelier Wen aims to produce only 100 units in the first year, the Inflection series represents a notable commitment to quality and craftsmanship in the luxury watch market.
