Audemars Piguet has unveiled the Neo Frame Jumping Hour, a watch that combines a retro aesthetic with modern technology. Drawing inspiration from the brand's historical collection, particularly the 1929 Pre-model 1271, this timepiece features a jumping hour complication that replaces traditional hands with numerals that leap every 60 minutes. The design is influenced by the Streamline Moderne movement, characterized by smooth lines and aerodynamic forms, while the watch's case is crafted from 18k pink gold and measures 47.1mm in length and 34mm in width. Notably, the dial is made from black PVD-coated sapphire, providing a unique visual effect and ensuring water resistance through an innovative bonding technique. The Neo Frame Jumping Hour is powered by the newly developed calibre 7122, which allows for instantaneous hour jumps and retains a power reserve of 52 hours.
