Audemars Piguet Unveils Its New Atelier Des Établisseurs: A Revolution in Luxury Timepieces
Audemars Piguet is launching a new program called Atelier des Établisseurs, which aims to produce extravagant and highly individualized timepieces in collaboration with some of the best craftspeople in the industry. This initiative seeks to revive the traditional Swiss watchmaking practice of établissage, where independent artisans contributed to watch production before the industry shifted towards vertical integration. The program emphasizes transparency by crediting all craftspeople involved and showcases three distinctive models: the Établisseurs Galets, Établisseurs Peacock, and Établisseurs Nomade, each featuring unique designs and high craftsmanship. The Établisseurs Galets pays homage to the pebbles of Lac de Joux with a bracelet made of pebble-shaped gold links inlaid with semi-precious stones. The Établisseurs Peacock, designed by Kenan Géraud, features a stunning mechanism that transforms the watch into a sculptural representation of a peacock. Lastly, the Établisseurs Nomade combines a pocket clock with a sophisticated caliber that transforms into a desk clock. Audemars Piguet plans to produce these limited-edition pieces over the coming years, highlighting its commitment to artisanal craftsmanship while pushing creative boundaries.
