Awake’s latest Sơn Mài Frosted Leaf Union Jack watch blends traditional Vietnamese lacquer craftsmanship with a subtle British‑flag motif. The 39 mm case, made from recycled 316L stainless steel, is thin and comfortable, while the dial features layered sơn mài lacquer, silver leaf, and a hand‑chiselled miniature outline of the United Kingdom that gradually reveals itself. The watch is powered by the La Joux‑Perret G101 automatic movement, offering a 68‑hour power reserve and visible through an exhibition case‑back that also marks its limited edition number out of 50 pieces. The piece is finished with a deep‑blue nubuck leather strap accented by red stitching and a steel pin buckle, and it provides 50 metres of water resistance. Priced at £2,400 inc tax (US$3,230 plus tax), the limited edition will be available from 13 June, 1 PM BST through the Time+Tide online shop and its studios in London and New York, with only 50 units produced.
