Bezel and Kalshi Launch First Luxury Watch Prediction Markets
Bezel has collaborated with Kalshi to launch Watch Futures, the first prediction markets focused on luxury watch prices. This innovative platform allows users to trade based on the expected price movements of iconic brands like Rolex and Patek Philippe, utilizing Bezel's Beztimate valuation engine. This engine analyzes real-time market data to provide accurate pricing benchmarks, aiming to enhance transparency in the secondary watch market, which has traditionally relied on fragmented insights. The introduction of Watch Futures democratizes access to the luxury watch market by enabling users to invest in price fluctuations without the need to purchase high-value timepieces outright. Quaid Walker, co-founder and CEO of Bezel, emphasized the goal of making market data more accessible to collectors and enthusiasts, stating that this initiative is just the beginning of the financialization of watches, which is expected to grow and enrich the hobby for many.
