Blancpain has unveiled a limited edition watch, the Villeret Traditional Chinese Calendar “Year of the Fire Horse,” designed to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse in 2026. This exquisite timepiece features a 45.2mm polished platinum case and a striking salmon-colored Grand Feu enamel dial, combining elements of the traditional Chinese lunisolar calendar with the Gregorian system. The watch displays various functions through a tidy arrangement of sub-dials, including Chinese double hours, lunar months, and a representation of the zodiac animal, while a unique moon phase indicator adds to its complexity. The watch is powered by the intricate automatic calibre 3638, which boasts a remarkable seven-day power reserve and is composed of 464 components. Traditional finishes, including Côtes de Genève decoration, enhance its elegance, while the frosted white gold rotor features an engraving of a galloping horse.
