Camden Watch Company’s new timepiece is inspired by one of London’s wildest duels

The Camden Watch Company has launched the No.253 1843 Edition timepiece, inspired by a dramatic historical duel involving Lieutenant-Colonel David Fawcett in 1843. This narrative is woven into the watch's design, which features ornate paisley-style engravings reminiscent of antique duelling pistols and a unique antique gun-metal finish that evokes a sense of local folklore. The watch is available with a polished black ion-plated stainless steel case, and customers can choose from various leather straps or a metal bracelet. In a nod to the story's legacy, each watch purchase comes with a voucher for a free pint at The Colonel Fawcett pub, where Fawcett spent his final hours. The watch's attention to detail includes "1843" subtly incorporated into the dial and crossed pistols engraved on the case back, embodying the essence of Camden's rich history and its most notorious duel.
