Casio Unveils the New Edifice EFK-110D Automatic Watch with Enhanced Features
The Casio Edifice EFK-110D marks the second generation of Casio's foray into automatic watches, improving upon its predecessor, the EFK-100D, with a slimmer design and a new movement. The watch features a stainless steel case with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, an integrated H-link bracelet, and a textured dial reminiscent of forged carbon. Notably, the case size has been reduced to 38mm, along with a shorter lug-to-lug measurement and a thinner profile. The watch retains its sapphire crystal and 100 meters of water resistance, making it a solid choice in the entry-level automatic segment. Under the dial, the movement has been upgraded from the Seiko NH35 to the Miyota 8215, allowing for a slimmer design while enhancing the overall wearing experience. The date window has been repositioned for a more traditional layout, and the watch is available in three colorways: white, blue, and black. Priced at approximately €279 (over $300), the EFK-110D offers competitive features such as sapphire glass, an integrated bracelet, and a reliable movement. The rapid introduction of this second generation indicates that Casio sees potential in expanding its automatic lineup, raising curiosity about its future direction in the mechanical watch market.
