Certina Launches the DS Super PH2000M Sea Turtle Conservancy Limited Edition
The Certina DS Super PH2000M Sea Turtle Conservancy edition combines the brand’s renowned Double Security and DS Concept Extreme Shock Resistance systems with a modern design to create a highly robust dive watch. Housed in a 43 mm grade‑2 titanium case, it offers a water resistance of 2,000 meters, a helium escape valve, and a sapphire crystal, while the ETA Powermatic 80.611 movement provides an 80‑hour power reserve, anti‑magnetic protection, and a reliable automatic calibre. Beyond its technical merits, the limited‑edition piece supports the Sea Turtle Conservancy, with a portion of the CHF 1,235 price allocated to the organisation. Only 1,959 watches are produced, reflecting the year the Conservancy was founded and the introduction of Certina’s Double Security system in 1959. The watch is available with a teal‑blue gradient dial, as well as alternative black, white, and yellow dials, and can be fitted with a titanium bracelet or a teal‑blue silicone strap featuring a diver’s extension.
Buying Time Analysis: The story highlights Certina’s commitment to sustainability by linking a high‑performance dive watch to the Sea Turtle Conservancy, demonstrating how luxury watchmaking can support environmental conservation while offering limited‑edition, technically advanced timepieces.
