Chronoswiss introduces the Opus Dakar Sundown, a new addition to its Opus collection that blends stainless steel with 18k red gold accents. The 41 mm case retains the classic design cues of the series, featuring a knurled bezel, oversized onion crown, and pump‑style chronograph pushers, while a curved sapphire crystal with double anti‑reflective coating protects the skeletonised dial. The brown CVD‑coated dial showcases exposed movement architecture with clear legibility, including a 30‑minute counter at 12 o’clock, a 12‑hour totaliser at 6 o’clock, running seconds at 9 o’clock and a pointer date at 3 o’clock, all guided by rhodium‑plated Breguet‑style hands. Power is provided by the Chronoswiss calibre C.741S, a reworked ETA Valjoux 7750 automatic chronograph that beats at 28,800 vph and offers a 46‑hour power reserve. The movement is skeletonised and decorated with black galvanised bridges, perlage, and a gold‑plated rotor finished with Côtes de Genève. The watch is completed with a sand‑coloured nubuck leather strap and is priced at CHF 26,500 (≈ EUR 29,000).
