Citizen’s New $600 Chronograph Is Solar and Sporty
Citizen has unveiled the Endeavor Chrono, a solar-powered chronograph designed for durability, legibility, and low-maintenance use. The watch features a 43mm stainless steel case and is powered by Eco-Drive technology, drawing on nautical elements while remaining within the brand's tool-watch ethos. Key design elements include a brushed case with polished chamfers, a scalloped 60-minute bezel with a black ceramic insert, and water resistance rated to 100 meters, making it suitable for everyday sports use. The dial showcases a wave-textured surface and a two-tone minute track for enhanced timing capabilities, appealing to both casual users and those interested in regatta-style timing. The chronograph features a familiar three-register layout and includes a date window for practicality. Available in two primary configurations—one sporty with a black dial and rubber strap, and another with a traditional white panda-style dial on a stainless steel bracelet—the Endeavor Chrono is powered by the Eco-Drive B620 movement, eliminating the need for battery changes. Priced at $595 for the rubber strap version and $650 for the stainless steel bracelet, the Endeavor Chrono continues Citizen's tradition of offering reliable, functional sports watches.
