Currency swing pushes Sweden’s GoS to hike prices by 17%

Swedish watchmaker GoS is transitioning from pricing its products in US dollars to euros due to the significant weakening of the dollar in 2025. Owner Patrik Sjögren anticipates this change will result in an approximate 17% price increase. For over 15 years, prices were set in dollars primarily to cater to international clients, but with production costs being mainly Europe-based, the company aims for long-term stability by anchoring prices in euros. Orders placed after January 17, 2026, will be invoiced in euros, although clients can still pay in US dollars at the current exchange rate. GoS Watches was founded through a partnership between master bladesmith Johan Gustafsson and master watchmaker Patrik Sjögren, who bonded over their shared passion for craftsmanship and ancient Scandinavian techniques. The brand is known for its unique timepieces made from rolled Damascus steel, incorporating designs inspired by Scandinavian nature and history. Collections like Nordic Seasons and the Aurora watch reflect these inspirations, showcasing the changing weather and the beauty of the Northern Lights.
