Czapek Releases the Quai des Bergues "Sursum Corda" as the Final Anniversary Collection
Czapek & Cie celebrates the 180th anniversary of François Czapek’s Genevan watch enterprise with the release of the Quai des Bergues “Sursum Corda,” the final piece in its anniversary collection. Limited to just 10 pieces, this watch features a rose gold case and a white Grand Feu enamel dial, embodying the brand's rich heritage. The design draws inspiration from a Czapek pocket watch from the 1850s, showcasing signature elements like a small seconds sub-dial and a combined days of the week and power reserve indicator. Alongside this limited edition, two regular production models, Quai des Bergues No. 33 and No. 25, will also be available, all sharing a new 40.5mm case size. The “Sursum Corda” is distinguished by a secret signature and a commemorative inscription, reflecting the brand's commitment to craftsmanship and innovation. Each model is powered by the proprietary calibre SXH1, which offers a 7-day power reserve and combines traditional watchmaking techniques with modern aesthetics. With elegant alligator straps and a focus on personalization, these timepieces appeal to both collectors and enthusiasts. The prices reflect their exclusivity, with the “Sursum Corda” priced at CHF 36,500, while the No. 33 and No. 25 retail for CHF 34,000 and CHF 19,200, respectively.
