Fears celebrates 180 years with British Watchmaker’s Day exclusive

Fears, the oldest British watch brand, is celebrating its 180th anniversary by unveiling the Brunswick 40 ‘1846 Edition’ at British Watchmakers’ Day on March 7, 2026. This limited edition watch, of which only 25 pieces will be available, honors the year Edwin Fear established his first workshop. The new model features a refined 40mm sterling silver case, a unique anniversary emblem, and a design inspired by Edwin's original pocket watches. The dial showcases a white lacquer construction with black Roman numerals and a recessed sub-seconds display, embodying a classic yet elegant aesthetic. The watch is powered by a manual-wind La Joux-Perret G121M movement with a 60-hour power reserve and is complemented by a blue pig leather strap, a nod to the materials used in early Fears watches. Priced at £4,350, this exclusive release represents a continuation of the brand's legacy while appealing to collectors and enthusiasts looking for a piece of horological history.
