Former AP product leader unveils his own independent watch company
François-Henry Bennahmias, former head of Audemars Piguet, and Michael Friedman, the company's head of complications, have both launched new ventures following their departures from AP. Friedman has introduced Pattern Recognition, showcasing its first model, the B-Theory, a curved astronomical tourbillon wristwatch set to launch in 2026. This innovative timepiece combines historical and modern design elements, featuring a central flying tourbillon, a lunar display, and a hand-wound movement crafted by a network of collaborators. The B-Theory will be available for CHF 150,000 on a titanium bracelet or CHF 120,000 on a strap, with limited production expected.
