Grand Seiko’s Smallest High-End Quartz Models Yet
Grand Seiko has introduced its smallest high-end quartz models yet, the Heritage Collection Quartz 33mm “Snowflake” SBGX359 and “Skyflake” SBGX361. These watches feature the new cal. 9F51 movement, allowing for a compact 33 mm stainless steel case while retaining the advanced technical specifications of the renowned cal. 9F family. The design includes textured dials and is equipped with a water-resistant sapphire crystal, making it both functional and aesthetically pleasing. These models represent a significant upgrade from previous smaller Grand Seiko timepieces, which often used the less advanced cal. 4J movements. The cal. 9F51 maintains the brand’s signature thick, diamond-cut hands and offers a power reserve of about three years. Priced at $3,200, these watches will be available starting April 2026, providing enthusiasts with an elegant blend of craftsmanship and modern technology.
