Hermès shows off its watchmaking chops with the Squelette Lune
Hermès has introduced the Slim d’Hermès Squelette Lune, showcasing their expertise in watchmaking with a skeletonized dial featuring a moonphase indicator. The timepiece is powered by the Hermès H1953 calibre, which employs a micro-rotor for its automatic function, allowing for a clean view of the intricate movement through the dial. Available in two models, the grey version features a 39.5mm grade 5 titanium case with a matte finish, while the blue variant boasts a polished platinum case for a more classic aesthetic. Both models offer a choice of alligator or calfskin leather straps, with pricing starting at approximately £19,980 for the titanium model and £33,890 for the platinum version. This launch reinforces Hermès' position in the luxury watch market, demonstrating that fashion watches can combine style with high-quality craftsmanship.
