HYT's former CEO returns to lead independent Kerbedanz
Vahé Vartzbed has returned to the watch industry as the new CEO of Kerbedanz after leaving his position at HYT. With an extensive background in Swiss watchmaking, Vartzbed aims to expand Kerbedanz's appeal beyond its niche of unique timepieces and enhance its distribution network. Founded in 2011, Kerbedanz is renowned for its Maximus model, which features the largest tourbillon ever crafted for a wristwatch, and is now looking to strengthen its brand presence as it approaches its 15th anniversary in 2026. Co-founders Kalust Zorik and Aram Petrosyan believe Vartzbed's leadership will usher in a new era for Kerbedanz, blending innovation and exclusivity while maintaining the brand's commitment to haute horlogerie. The maison is known for its intricate timepieces that showcase micro-mechanical artistry, allowing wearers to appreciate the complexity of watch mechanics as wearable art.
