Inkdial Animates Watches with Illustrations
Inkdial, the artist behind the name Ben Li, has become a prominent figure in the watch illustration world after turning a lockdown hobby into a professional business. With a background in Graphic and Media Design from University of the Arts London, he transitioned from various design roles to focusing on luxury watches, producing over 400 detailed wristwatch artworks. His work has attracted commissions from major brands such as IWC, Jaeger‑LeCoultre, Audemars Piguet, Roger Dubuis, and G‑Shock, as well as Oracle Time, establishing him as a sought‑after horological illustrator. Beyond the drawings, Inkdial is known for live illustration events, notably creating custom sketches for attendees at Hands On Horology 2025. Although he will not attend the upcoming show in person, a free custom illustration will be offered to participants.
