Introducing: The Universal Genève Tribute to Compax – Inspired By Nina Rindt And Powered By Vintage Movements
The Universal Genève Tribute to Compax showcases six new chronographs inspired by the 1960s Compax model, famously worn by Nina Rindt. With a focus on honoring the brand's heritage, these watches feature precise recreations of the original case design, available in 18k white or rose gold, and maintain the traditional details such as twisted lyre lugs and pump pushers. Each watch has a unique dial crafted in grand feu enamel, with variations including traditional white and black dials, and a new blue enamel option. The collection is powered by a restored original Universal caliber 281 movement, which offers a manual winding mechanism and a 36-hour power reserve. Only two sets of these watches will be available, retailing at CHF 135,000, and interested buyers must register their interest directly with the brand. The Bund strap, crafted by renowned leatherworker Satoru Hosai, adds a distinctive touch, reflecting Nina Rindt’s influential style. This release not only celebrates a significant model in Universal Genève's history but also highlights the brand's commitment to meticulous craftsmanship and design as it prepares for a broader revival in 2026.
