Jacob & Co.’s God of Time is the World’s Fastest Tourbillon
Jacob & Co. has introduced the God of Time, a remarkable tourbillon watch celebrating founder Jacob Arabo’s 60th birthday. This timepiece features the world’s fastest tourbillon, completing a revolution every four seconds, which is 15 times quicker than the standard. The watch boasts a 44.5 mm case designed to resemble an Ionic pillar, housing an intricately detailed figure of Chronos, crafted from 18k rose gold. The aesthetics prioritize horological art over legibility, showcasing the beauty of Greek mythology while offering a unique visual experience. The God of Time is powered by the JCAM60 movement, which includes four mainsprings to support the rapid tourbillon. This watch is not only a feat of engineering but also a luxurious statement piece with a price tag of $360,000. Limited to just 60 pieces, it combines high-end materials and craftsmanship with a sophisticated design, making it a standout in the world of modern horology. The watch's features include a sapphire crystal, a power reserve of 60 hours, and an alligator strap, further enhancing its exclusivity and appeal to collectors.
