Jaeger-LeCoultre’s Reverso Hybris gets an upgrade

Jaeger-LeCoultre has launched a remarkable new version of its Reverso Hybris Artistica Calibre 179, featuring deep black hand-lacquered dials on both sides and an 18K pink gold case, with only ten pieces available. This latest edition showcases the unique spirit of the Hybris collection, blending the brand's renowned mechanical expertise with intricate, handcrafted details. The watch employs the fourth evolution of the Gyrotourbillon, a multi-axis tourbillon designed specifically for the Reverso, and incorporates the patented Duoface mechanism that allows it to display two independent time zones. The aesthetic of the 2025 edition draws heavily from the geometric elegance of Art Deco design, with the front dial subtly referencing these patterns through fine linear designs. The reverse side features a skeletonized layout with black lacquer, creating a sense of depth and lightness. Each component is meticulously crafted, with intricate engravings and a power reserve of 40 hours provided by the Calibre 179, which consists of 382 parts. This timepiece epitomizes the fusion of art and mechanics, representing the pinnacle of craftsmanship at Jaeger-LeCoultre.
