Kurono Tokyo Introduces Meteorite to the Collection with the New Inseki
Kurono Tokyo has launched the Inseki, a new watch that incorporates meteorite material for the first time, marking the brand’s initial release of 2026. This piece is part of the “Special Projects” series and features a striking gray meteorite dial from the Muonionalusta meteorite, which fell in Sweden approximately one million years ago. The dial is framed by a white lacquered outer ring adorned with Asaoka’s custom “Calligra” typeface numerals, complemented by polished steel hands, a design hallmark of Kurono. Each watch's meteorite dial is unique, with Hajime Asaoka personally selecting the pieces to ensure visual appeal, and a red seal on each dial serves as proof of this selection. The Inseki is housed in a 37mm stainless steel case, adhering to Kurono's preference for modest sizing. It operates on a Miyota 90S5 caliber with a 40-hour power reserve and has a water resistance of up to 30 meters. Although described as “limited production,” the exact quantity has not been disclosed. Retailing at $1,850, the Inseki will be available for purchase starting January 15 at 9:00 AM, with deliveries anticipated to begin in February.
