Louis Erard and Konstantin Chaykin are Back with a New Limited Edition in a New Case
The Louis Erard x Konstantin Chaykin Unforgettable watch is a limited edition piece inspired by the Slavic myth of the Frog Princess, featuring a unique dial design that resembles a frog, complete with large reptilian eyes at 9 and 3 o'clock. This collaboration introduces a reimagined case construction and dial layout that reflects Chaykin's aesthetic while departing from Louis Erard's traditional regulator format. The watch offers two color variants, green and purple, with the hours and seconds displayed horizontally, enhancing the thematic connection to the frog princess. Constructed from Grade 5 titanium, the new case measures 40mm in diameter and 12.45mm thick, making it smaller and thinner than previous models. The design features satin finishing and scalloped lugs, creating a contemporary look that draws attention away from the dial. Additional playful elements include lacquered nostrils on the dial and a leather strap made from lacquered leather similar to that used in samurai armor. Each variant of this niche watch is limited to 178 pieces, retailing at CHF 4,500, showcasing Louis Erard's ambition in watchmaking.
