Meet Quiet Club, And The Debut Watch That Offers A New Way Of Thinking About Time

Quiet Club is a collaborative venture between three partners from different backgrounds, including automotive engineering and tech, who have come together to create their debut watch, Fading Hours. The project is spearheaded by Tokyo-based watchmaker Norifumi Seki, known for his innovative approach to horology. Fading Hours aims to redefine how we perceive time, offering a unique blend of minimalist design and advanced functionality, such as an integrated alarm system that gently prompts the wearer without the harshness of digital distractions. The watch, with its distinct aesthetic and in-house crafted movement, has garnered attention and was named a finalist for the Louis Vuitton Watch Prize for Independent Creatives. The watch features a titanium case and an ergonomic design that emphasizes comfort while showcasing a clean, understated dial. Fading Hours includes a novel alarm mechanism that utilizes the entire dial as a gong, producing a soothing sound. With a limited production of around ten pieces per year and a price tag of $85,000, this watch appeals to collectors seeking something extraordinary in the saturated market of luxury timepieces. The collaborative spirit and diverse expertise of the Quiet Club team signify a fresh approach to watchmaking, with hopes for future expansion and additional models.
