The design retains the minimalist aesthetic characteristic of Mondaine watches, featuring a polished stainless steel case, a signature black and white dial, and a red seconds hand. The watch is powered by a Swiss quartz movement and is priced at £239, making it accessible for those interested in a stylish yet functional timepiece. This new edition maintains the classic elements of the brand, including the day-date function positioned at 3 o’clock, while enhancing usability with a larger crown that addresses previous complaints about the smaller model. The Classic Day Date 40mm also emphasizes its heritage, drawing inspiration from the official Swiss Railway Clock designed by Hans Hilfiker in 1944. With a water resistance of 30 meters and a strap made from vegan grape leather, this watch combines modern sustainability with traditional design.
