The new SC02C mechanical chronograph, created by Konstantin Chaykin in collaboration with Roscosmos, is a limited‑edition watch specifically engineered for extravehicular activity. Developed from a project that began in 2018, the timepiece was tested during multiple spacewalks on the ISS, enduring centrifuge, vibration, temperature, impact, and vacuum conditions down to 1 × 10⁻⁶ atmospheres, and now offers a robust case, antimagnetic protection, 100 m water resistance, and a vacuum‑rated sapphire crystal. Encased in stainless steel at 44 mm diameter and 14.5 mm thickness, the SC02C features a unidirectional bezel, luminous hands and markers, and a hand‑wound K.20‑5 movement derived from the Poljot 3133, delivering a 45‑hour power reserve and ±15 seconds per day accuracy. Limited to 28 pieces, it includes two black fabric straps—one extended for spacesuit wear—making it a rare opportunity to own a watch that was not merely inspired by space but actually proven in space.
