Off-Catalogue No More: Patek Philippe Reveals Gem-Set Nautilus Collection
Patek Philippe has introduced the Gem-Set Nautilus Collection, adding several previously off-catalogue haute joaillerie models to its lineup. This strategic move reflects the brand's commitment to gem-set watches, likely influenced by its investment in gemstone specialist Salanitro in 2022. The collection includes the iconic ref. 5711, now featuring gem-set variants like the diamond, emerald, and sapphire models, each with distinct carat weights and prices, with the emerald version being the most expensive due to its rarity. Additionally, the collection introduces the Nautilus ref. 5723 in rose gold, available with diamond or ruby options, as well as the complex ref. 5990, adorned with numerous baguette-cut diamonds and priced at over US$1.8 million. Two more accessible models, ref. 5980, offer diamond-set options for around US$788,000. The Celestial variants of Patek Philippe's Grand Complications are also now available with gem-set options, further expanding the brand's offering in luxurious, high-end timepieces.
