Ollech & Wajs Re-Issue Two Forgotten Vietnam-Era Military Watches
Ollech & Wajs has re-issued two historic military watches from the Vietnam era, the OW MK-102 (2nd Infantry Division DMZ Edition) and the OW MV-82 (Vietnam Airborne Edition). Initially produced in 1969 and 1970 for U.S. Army units, these watches have become cherished collectibles due to their scarcity and the reliability they offered to soldiers in the field. The MK-102 features the vintage Indian Head insignia associated with the 2nd Infantry Division, while the MV-82 honors the Airborne units with the Parachutist Badge design. Both models share technical specifications, including a 39.5mm case, Swiss-made Soprod P024 automatic movement, and a water resistance of 300 meters. They are available in limited editions of 56 pieces each, showcasing a dedication to craftsmanship with handmade production in the Swiss Jura. Priced at CHF 1,496, these commemorative timepieces are designed to reflect the heritage and valor of the soldiers who wore them, embodying both functionality and historical significance.
