Orr’s opens in former industrial area of Pittsburgh

Orr’s Jewelers has opened a new flagship showroom in Pittsburgh's Strip District, moving from its previous location in Squirrel Hill. The third-generation family business, founded in 1952, now operates from a historic warehouse known as the Smallman building, which features impressive 22-foot ceilings, large windows, and exposed brick walls. The showroom spans over 8,500 square feet and showcases luxury jewelry and watch brands, including Cartier and Omega, though Rolex is not represented in this location. The co-owners, David and Marcia Gordon, along with their daughters, have expressed excitement about the new space, which has quickly gained popularity among clients, reminiscent of luxury stores in major cities like New York and Miami. The Strip District is rapidly gentrifying and has attracted a young professional crowd, in part due to the nearby tech scene fostered by Carnegie Mellon University. With a successful soft opening already exceeding expectations, the Gordons are optimistic about their legacy and the potential for growth in this thriving area.
