Patek Philippe cuts prices in USA and hikes them in UK
Patek Philippe has announced an 8.6% price reduction for its watches in the United States, reversing previous price increases that were implemented in response to a 39% tariff on Swiss imports. The price drops come after the U.S. government announced a reduction in tariffs to 15%, although the final trade agreement is still pending. This adjustment aims to restore price parity across global markets, particularly in comparison to the UK, where prices have increased by 4% to address a significant discrepancy. The new pricing structure sees the white gold Cubitus, which previously cost around $100,000 in the U.S., now priced at approximately $90,860 after taxes. In the UK, the equivalent model has been adjusted to £68,220, translating to $93,874, thereby narrowing the price gap significantly. These changes reflect broader market pressures, including fluctuations in the value of the U.S. dollar and rising gold prices, which have impacted luxury watch pricing significantly over the past year.
