Pequignet Unveils New Royale Paris Chronograph with BPM Tempo Tracker

Pequignet has introduced the Royale Paris Chrono BPM, a new chronograph that blends traditional watchmaking with a beats‑per‑minute (BPM) tempo tracker inspired by French Touch electronic music. Housed in a 39.5 mm stainless‑steel case with a gradient electric‑blue‑to‑black dial, the watch features a peripheral BPM scale ranging from 35 to 180, graphic sound‑bar markings, and a 30‑minute chronograph totaliser. Powered by the brand’s slim Calibre Initial automatic movement, the timepiece offers a 65‑hour power reserve, 28,800 vph frequency, and a water resistance of 50 m. It is paired with a black Cordura strap and a steel ardillon buckle, and will join Pequignet’s permanent collection from 15 October 2026. The design pays homage to the French electronic music scene, incorporating a BPM timer that counts 30 drum kicks to calculate tempo, allowing users to track rhythms from mellow reggae at 60 BPM to high‑energy trance above 140 BPM. Priced at €6 950 (≈ $7 950), the Royale Paris Chrono BPM reflects Pequignet’s commitment to French craftsmanship and innovation, reinforcing its position as a modern manufacturer that merges technical precision with cultural references.

Buying Time Analysis: This story highlights Pequignet’s innovative blend of traditional watchmaking with modern music culture, introducing a chronograph that tracks BPM and showcases the brand’s revived French heritage and technical advancement.
