Rolex price rally runs out of steam
The secondary market for Rolex watches experienced a significant rise in prices during the first three quarters of 2025, peaking at a median price of £17,000 by mid-September. However, this momentum faded in the fourth quarter, ending the year with a median price of £16,310, marking an annual increase of 8.7%. In contrast, the prices for Patek Philippe watches showed more stability throughout the year, albeit with a decline in the autumn, ending 2025 at £70,300, a 6% drop over the year. Comparatively, Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille saw modest price increases, with Audemars Piguet rising to £46,000 and Richard Mille to £291,000 by year-end. Various pricing trackers reported similar trends, noting a general cooling in the luxury watch market towards the end of the year. Overall, while Rolex maintained a slight yearly increase, other brands like Patek Philippe and Audemars Piguet faced price adjustments, reflecting a fluctuating luxury market landscape.
