Seiko has refreshed its iconic Marinemaster dive watch line with two new models: the Prospex Marinemaster 1968 Heritage Diver HBF001 and the JAMSTEC Limited Edition HBF002. Both watches are based on the classic 1968 Hi-Beat 300m Diver design but feature significant upgrades, including a new movement, the Calibre 8L45, which offers a 72-hour power reserve and improved accuracy. While the case dimensions remain familiar, the thickness has increased slightly, which may affect comfort for daily wear. The HBF001 features a refined black dial and ceramic bezel, while the HBF002 showcases a striking blue gradient dial, limited to 1,000 pieces and created in collaboration with JAMSTEC. Both models come with a three-link stainless steel bracelet equipped with a toolless micro-adjust clasp for added convenience. Priced at $3,600 for the HBF001 and $3,900 for the JAMSTEC edition, these watches are positioned in a premium market segment, raising expectations for comfort and bracelet quality.
