Stephen Forsey, Co-Founder Of Greubel Forsey, Steps Down From Company Board
Stephen Forsey, co-founder of the Swiss watch brand Greubel Forsey, has stepped down from the company's board of directors, confirming that he will no longer be involved in the daily operations of the business. Although he has relinquished his board role, Forsey remains a significant minority shareholder. The decision comes as he had already been gradually distancing himself from the company's activities in recent years, with Michel Nydegger, the current CEO, stating that Forsey made the decision independently. Greubel Forsey, known for its innovative complications and high-end finishing, employs around 130 workers and produces fewer than 200 watches annually. The brand, which gained prominence in the luxury watch market, is not seeking outside investors or looking to sell stakes, with Robert Greubel holding a majority share. Despite the leadership change, the company continues to focus on its craftsmanship and unique designs, having recently won awards for its exceptional timepieces.
