TAG Heuer’s Seafarer Navigates the Tides
The TAG Heuer Carrera Seafarer Chronograph reinterprets a quirky mid-century tide-tracker within the modern Carrera 'Glassbox' design. With a champagne-colored dial and vibrant teal accents, it maintains much of the charm of its original while integrating contemporary technical enhancements. The watch features a unique tide indicator replacing the traditional elapsed hours counter, which adds a nostalgic touch, even if its practical application may be questioned. The modern Carrera case, with its sharp lines and robust feel, complements the watch's playful aesthetics, while the design retains historical elements. Powered by the TH20-04 movement, the Carrera Seafarer has an 80-hour power reserve and offers automatic winding. With a 42 mm diameter and water resistance of up to 100 meters, it combines functionality with style. Scheduled for release in March 2026 at a price of CHF 8,300, the Seafarer aims to appeal to both collectors and casual wearers, celebrating TAG Heuer's rich heritage while embracing modern watchmaking techniques.
