The Antti Rönkkö Son of Tuoni, The Watchman of the Underworld

The Antti Rönkkö Son of Tuoni is a limited edition watch inspired by Finnish mythology, specifically the Kalevala's Son of Death, who guards the underworld. The watch features a 41.9mm case crafted from hardened, IP-black-coated stainless steel, with a design reminiscent of Kokko, the fire eagle. Its unique dial showcases a rotating disc engraved with a pattern symbolizing the woven nets of the underworld, while the moonphase is indicated through a dual-symbol system that reflects the cycle of light and darkness. Powered by a modified Soprod A10 caliber, the watch operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and offers a 42-hour power reserve. The intricate design includes a hand-finished rotor inspired by Ukko, the god of thunder, visible through a sapphire back. Each of the 20 pieces comes with a handmade matte black alligator strap and is available for pre-order, starting at EUR 12,700 for the 1-Moon version and EUR 14,900 for the 2-Moon version, excluding VAT.
