The Grand Seiko SBGX359 And SBGX361 – The Brand's Smallest 9F Quartz Watches
Grand Seiko has introduced its smallest 9F quartz watches to date, the SBGX359 "Snowflake" and SBGX361 "Skyflake," featuring the new Caliber 9F51 quartz movement. These compact timepieces, measuring 33mm in diameter and 9.1mm in thickness, maintain all the hallmark qualities of Grand Seiko's quartz calibers, including a regulation switch for fine-tuning accuracy, a Backlash Auto-Adjust Mechanism, and a Twin Pulse Control Motor. The movement boasts an impressive accuracy of ±10 seconds per year and is 0.6mm smaller than its predecessor, the 9F61. The design prominently showcases the iconic Snowflake and Skyflake dials, which are well-recognized within the brand's Heritage Collection. Crafted from stainless steel and featuring a polished and faceted index, these watches also offer water resistance up to 100m. Set to be available at Grand Seiko boutiques and select retailers starting April 2026, each watch will retail for $3,200, marking a $500 increase over previous models. This release underscores Grand Seiko's commitment to technical innovation while catering to a broader audience with its refined aesthetics.
