The Horological Society of New York Announces 2026 Global Financial Aid Opportunities for Watchmaking Students

The Horological Society of New York (HSNY) has announced new financial aid opportunities for watchmaking students and professionals for the year 2026, significantly expanding its scholarship budget thanks to the Vogt Foundation. This year marks the first time applications will be accepted globally, allowing watchmaking students worldwide to access various scholarships and awards, including the newly introduced Independent Watchmaker Grant. This grant aims to support emerging independent watchmakers by funding essential tools and startup expenses, fostering innovation and craftsmanship in horology. Alongside the Independent Watchmaker Grant, HSNY will offer nine additional scholarships designed to assist veterans, students, and practicing watchmakers. The application period runs from January 1 to March 1, with awards announced in March. Last year, HSNY distributed a record $160,000 in scholarships to numerous students and watchmaking institutions, showcasing its commitment to advancing the art and science of horology through education and support for the community.
