The Master of Mechanical Magic
Andreas Strehler is an independent watchmaker known for his innovative and precise mechanical watches, driven by a passion for engineering excellence. His journey began unexpectedly, influenced by childhood experiences with his grandfather and father, leading him to pursue watchmaking during the quartz crisis. After gaining experience with Renaud & Papi, he ventured into independence, restoring old timepieces and eventually creating his own complex designs like the Tischkalendar, which integrates a calendar with a pocket watch, showcasing his talent for engineering and design. Strehler’s work not only garners recognition for its intricate movements but also reflects a commitment to tradition and craftsmanship. He founded UhrTeil A.G. to assist brands in developing movements while simultaneously expanding his own collection, characterized by unique designs and impressive power reserves. His recent endeavors include the Sirna, a more accessible timepiece aimed at daily wear, without compromising on quality and aesthetics. Strehler continues to innovate by exploring new complications, ensuring the longevity and evolution of mechanical watchmaking.
