The New Niton Prima Brings Back A Historic Name

The Niton Prima is a revival of a historic watch brand known for its jumping hour movements, which dates back to 1919. This new model features an Art Deco-inspired design and a rectangular case crafted from either platinum or rose gold. The watch showcases a satin-brushed dial with openings that display jumping hours, minutes on a rotating disc, and small seconds, all while maintaining a minimalist aesthetic devoid of logos. The timekeeping mechanism employs a snail cam to trigger a discreet sound with each hour, enhancing the user experience without being intrusive. Powered by the manually wound NHS01 calibre, developed in collaboration with Le Temps Manufacture, the Niton Prima adheres to the Geneva Seal specifications and holds a chronometer certificate. The movement is decorated with a mix of modern and Art Deco designs, boasting a 72-hour power reserve. Limited to just 19 pieces in each material, the rose gold version is priced at CHF 44,750, while the platinum variant costs CHF 47,750. The watch is completed with a calf leather strap that matches the case material, further emphasizing its sophisticated design.
