The Wild Watches of German Polosin

The Kopf watch is a unique creation by German Polosin, a self-taught watchmaker who transitioned from banking IT to horology. This timepiece, designed to resemble a mechanical sculpture, features a distinct cybernetic aesthetic with a hinged crown guard and tritium-lit eyes, evoking comparisons to iconic robots from science fiction. With a compact size and an ETA 2892 base movement, the Kopf watch balances innovative design with traditional craftsmanship, making it accessible for enthusiasts of independent watchmaking. Polosin's journey began with a passion for collecting and restoring vintage watches, leading him to develop the Kopf watch concept in 2016. Despite initial doubts from peers, he persevered and has since produced over 60 pieces of the limited edition Kopf First Serie, which showcases intricate hand-hammered details and a futuristic style. After relocating to Bristol, England, due to political pressures in Russia, Polosin established Horological Underground, where he continues to produce and refine his innovative designs, merging artistry and functionality in each piece.
