Time Zone to Time Zone: Rolex and Cortina Celebrate the GMT-Master
From October 24 to November 2, 2025, Rolex and Cortina Watch are hosting the exhibition Time Zone to Time Zone, which celebrates the evolution of the GMT-Master from a cockpit instrument to a global icon. Launched in 1955, the GMT-Master was designed to help travelers keep track of time across different time zones, featuring a 24-hour hand and a two-color rotatable bezel. The exhibition showcases the watch's journey through various iterations, including the transition to the GMT-Master II in 1982, which introduced an independently adjustable hour hand. The exhibition highlights significant milestones, such as the introduction of the Caliber 3285, which powers the latest GMT-Master II, offering a 70-hour power reserve and innovative features like a scratch-proof Cerachrom bezel. In addition to thematic panels detailing the watch's history, a documentary film explores its cultural impact, celebrating the diverse individuals who have worn the GMT-Master, from pilots to astronauts. The exhibition is currently open at Paragon, Level 1, Main Atrium until November 2, 2025.
