Timex Atelier Unveils Two New Chronograph Models

Timex Atelier expands its collection with two new chronographs, the automatic M1a Ti and the quartz M1q. Designed by Giorgio Galli, the M1a Ti features a titanium case with a stainless‑steel middle, a 42 mm diameter, a fixed tachymeter bezel, and a Swiss‑made Landeron L72 automatic movement offering a 43‑hour power reserve. The M1q comes in a 40 mm skeletonized stainless‑steel case, shares the same bezel and crystal treatment, and is powered by a Swiss Ronda 5021D quartz movement. Both models have matte black dials, silver sub‑dials, high‑polished silver hands, and are available with either a metal bracelet or an NBR rubber strap, the M1a Ti also offering an exhibition caseback. Pricing positions the M1a Ti at $2,250 on a bracelet or $2,100 on a strap, while the M1q is offered at $800 on a bracelet or $700 on a strap, making the automatic a higher‑end option within the Atelier line. The new pieces increase the line to six references and introduce two‑register chronographs to the collection for the first time. Availability begins immediately through Timex’s website and select global retailers, with no limited‑edition status attached.

Buying Time Analysis: The story marks a pivotal expansion of Timex’s Atelier line, introducing high‑end automatic and affordable quartz chronograph models that signal the brand’s commitment to upscale design and broader market reach.
