Ultra-rare Rolex Daytona Paul Newman headlines antiquorum auction
An ultra-rare Rolex Daytona Paul Newman, crafted from solid 14k yellow gold, is set to headline Antiquorum's Monaco auction on December 12, 2025. This model, known as Lot 181, has an opening bid of €550,000 and is anticipated to reach up to €1 million. It is distinguished as the first gold Paul Newman Daytona offered through an authorized Rolex retailer's Certified Pre-Owned program. The watch features a champagne dial with original tritium lume plots and matching hands, preserved in exceptional condition, making it a significant milestone for Rolex's vintage legacy. The auction will include a total of 181 lots, showcasing other notable Rolex models such as a 1959 GMT-Master Ref. 6542 in 18k yellow gold and a stainless-steel Daytona Ref. 6263 with a Mk2 “Oyster Paul Newman” dial, estimated between €80,000 to €120,000 and €350,000 to €700,000 respectively.
