Urwerk And Ulysse Nardin Team Up To Release The UR-Freak
Urwerk and Ulysse Nardin have collaborated to unveil the UR-Freak, a limited edition watch that merges their distinctive design philosophies. The UR-Freak features a 44mm sandblasted titanium case and a unique dial that combines a central silicon oscillator with Urwerk's signature satellite hour display. The watch operates without a crown, allowing users to set the time via a rotating bezel. It is powered by Ulysse Nardin's in-house caliber UN-241 and is available with either a yellow ballistic-textured rubber strap or a black integrated rubber strap, both fitted with a titanium deployant buckle. Limited to just 100 pieces, the UR-Freak is priced at $122,200 and is characterized by its innovative design and craftsmanship. The watch boasts a 90-hour power reserve, automatic winding through a Grinder system, and manual winding capability via the caseback. This collaboration marks a significant moment in independent watchmaking, showcasing the seamless integration of both brands' strengths and setting a precedent for potential future partnerships.
