Horologically Unique HU-02 Brings Robert Cart’s Wandering Jump-Hour Chronoscope to the Wrist

The Horologically Unique HU-02 brings Robert Cart’s 1920s Chronoscope display to a wristwatch, adapting its wandering minutes and jumping-hour mechanism for a more accessible format. Inspired by Cart’s pocket watches for Breguet, it pairs the Art Deco design with a 38mm Disco Volante-style case, concealed crown, stepped bezel, and arrow-shaped guilloché dial motif. The watch uses an ETA 2824-2 movement modified with a wandering-hour module, providing a 32-hour power reserve. It comes in two limited-production versions: the Classic, with a polished naval brass case and cream dial, priced at USD 3,850, and the Silver Speciale, with a polished steel case and grained silver dial, priced at USD 3,980.

Buying Time Analysis: The HU-02 makes Robert Cart’s distinctive wandering jump-hour display available in a more attainable wristwatch, preserving its Art Deco character while using a modified ETA movement.
