PS Horology Tsuba 1720: An Integrated Bracelet Watch Inspired by George Graham’s 18th-Century Timepiece
The PS Horology Tsuba 1720 is an integrated-bracelet watch inspired by an 18th-century pocket watch made by English watchmaker George Graham in 1719–20. Designed by Peter Speake and Creative Director Farhana Safa, it reinterprets the original’s gold dial, double chapter rings, Roman numerals, and beetle-and-poker hands within the Tsuba collection’s scalloped cushion-shaped case. The 38.3mm stainless steel case is 8.91mm thick, water-resistant to 30 metres, and engraved on the back with a map and the coordinates of Graham’s former Fleet Street workshop. Its hand-finished 18k gold dial features outer hour markings and an inner minute scale, with redesigned hands and no running seconds subdial. The watch is powered by the automatic Vaucher Manufacture calibre 5401 micro-rotor movement, which provides a 48-hour power reserve, and is fitted with an integrated steel bracelet with concealed adjustment. Limited to 28 pieces, it costs CHF 26,000 excluding taxes and shipping, with deliveries expected in February 2027.
Buying Time Analysis: The Tsuba 1720 is significant for bringing George Graham’s historic 1719–20 pocket-watch design into a contemporary integrated-bracelet watch, marking the first design collaboration between Peter Speake and Farhana Safa.
