Timex is expanding its traditionally affordable range with the Atelier line, a Swiss‑made collection that pushes the brand into the entry‑level luxury segment with prices approaching $2,000. Launched in 2025, the sub‑brand showcases mechanical movements, sapphire crystals, exhibition casebacks and refined case and bracelet designs, positioning Timex alongside Japanese competitors such as Sequo and Citizen that have already moved upmarket. The new offerings include the Giorgio Galli S2Ti, featuring a titanium case and a Sellita SW200‑1 automatic movement priced at $1,950, and the GMT Première M1a with a Landeron 24 GMT automatic movement, available for $1,350 on a rubber strap or $1,450 on steel. These models aim to demonstrate Timex’s ability to compete with higher‑priced watches while maintaining value‑for‑money credibility.
